Mr. Liu Lai-Qin, the founder of HAW-DI-I, originally hails from Chaozhou, China, but later moved to Taiwan and opened a small noodle booth to make a living. Mr. Liu allowed his customers to add his homemade "Barbecue Powder" to their noodles, which quickly became widely popular for its delicious flavor. Eventually, Mr. Liu transformed this barbecue powder into barbecue sauce and established "HAW-DI-I Foods Co., Ltd." He branded the products under the name "Bullhead." Since then, this small change by Mr. Liu has led to revolutionary changes in Taiwan's culinary scene.
The Bullhead brand, originating from Mr. Liu Lai-Qin, draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac sign of the ox, hence the name Bullhead. The "Five-Petal Cherry Blossom" symbolizes the five blessings of joy, happiness, longevity, success, and peace.
