About Us

This is an inspiring story of entrepreneurial spirit and culinary innovation. Mr. Liu Lai-Qin, the founder of HAW-DI-I, originally hails from Chaozhou, China, but later moved to Taiwan and opened a small noodle booth to make a living. Mr. Liu allowed his customers to add his homemade "Barbecue Powder" to their noodles, which quickly became widely popular for its delicious flavor. Eventually, Mr. Liu transformed this barbecue powder into barbecue sauce and established "HAW-DI-I Foods Co., Ltd." He branded the products under the name "Bullhead." Since then, this small change by Mr. Liu has led to revolutionary changes in Taiwan's culinary scene.

The Bullhead brand, originating from Mr. Liu Lai-Qin, draws inspiration from the Chinese zodiac sign of the ox, hence the name Bullhead. The "Five-Petal Cherry Blossom" symbolizes the five blessings of joy, happiness, longevity, success, and peace. The white color represents the corporate culture's emphasis on legal compliance and integrity, while the red color signifies passion and the corporate philosophy of diligence, sincerity, quality, and sharing with others.

From a humble street stall to a professional food factory, the Bullhead brand has remained diligent for over 60 years. It has obtained professional certifications such as HACCP, SQF, FSSC22000, TQF, and the dual clean label in Taiwan and abroad.
