Juicy chicken thighs grilled to perfection, brushed with Bull Head’s signature Shacha sauce and fresh scallions

Shacha Scallion Chicken Skewers

Ingredients

 

Main Ingredients

  • Boneless chicken thigh — 250g

  • Scallions (green onions) — 3 stalks

  • Garlic cloves — 3

  • Egg — 1

 Seasoning

  • Bull Head Barbecue sauce (Shacha sauce) — 2 tablespoons

  • Soy sauce — 1 tablespoon

  • Rice wine — 1 tablespoon

  • Granulated sugar — a pinch

    Prepare all ingredients.

    In a bowl, mix barbecue sauce(Shacha sauce), soy sauce, rice wine, minced garlic, and a pinch of sugar until well combined.

    Add the boneless chicken thighs into the marinade. Then add 1 egg yolk and a bit of chopped scallion. Mix well and massage the chicken to absorb the flavors.

    Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

    Cut the marinated chicken into bite-sized pieces. Alternate threading chicken and scallion sections onto skewers. Optionally, brush a thin layer of the marinade over the assembled skewers for extra flavor.

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until fully cooked and slightly charred.
